Help Fight Domestic Violence!

Join Valley Mary Kay Beauty Consultants to Help Women & Children of Domestic Violence Start Over With New Home Starter Kits!

Once women are prepared to leave My Sister’s Place, an emergency domestic violence shelter, they are able to enter into the Pathways program, which is a transitional housing and life skills education program for single mothers and their children who are homeless because of domestic violence. This Catholic Charities program provides transitional housing for up to 24 months, along with counseling and skills training. Recent funding cuts slashed the housing for these families by half. Once able to provide housing for six East Valley families, Pathways can now provide for only three families.

Due to a lack of transitional housing, many women who leave the emergency shelter will have to find alternative housing on their own but will still be able to participate in the counseling and skills training of the Pathways program. Our goal is to relieve part of the financial burden these women face by providing New Home Starter Kits that would include the basics for a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and 3 bedrooms.
